CAREER OBJECTIVES I plan to graduate from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and a General Business Minor. After graduation I plan to find a career in the computer technology within the business world. WORK HISTORYLuther Midelfort Information Systems, Network Specialist At Luther/Midelfort I am part of team of well-trained computer support staff. Our responsibilities include installation and support of hospital and clinical computer systems. We work with Windows 95/98, Windows NT 4.0, Novell 4.1 and Novell 3.12 operating systems. The hospital/clinic network consists of over 2000 computers, printers, servers and other components. Other duties performed include installation of vendor supplied software, workstations, hardware repair / troubleshooting. Employed from June 1998- Present Advanced Veterinary Systems/IDEXX-Informatics, Hardware Support Technician. At AVS I am responsible for the hardware support of many types of computer equipment. The support is provided via the phone to veterinary clinics around the country. Among the types of support performed is physical hardware troubleshooting, operating system configuration and troubleshooting. The operating systems that are supported include Windows NT, Windows 95, Novell 4.1, Novell 3.12, UNIX, XENIX, Lantastic and some others. Along with the phone support I am also asked to perform in house installations and upgrades occasionally. Working on the support staff creates an opportunity to enhance client relations and technical skills. Employed from September 1996 through June 1998 Special Note: During my employment AVS was bought out by IDEXX resulting in the company name change to IDEXX-informatics. As a member of the cash office team I am responsible for processing daily sales media, including cash, checks, refunds, and purchase orders. After processing the media, via the computer, I check and enter a daily sales report on the network terminals. Along with my cash office responsibilities I strive to give the best possible customer satisfaction. Employed from August 1991 through May 1997. Work related accomplishments: Served in many sales and customer service positions including, electronics, hardware, toys, mens, shoes, home office, housewares, health and beauty aids, snacks and candy, overnight stock, and cashiering. Employee of the month in March of 1992. Promoted to Level II Jewelry sales in November 1992. Promoted to Level II cash office position August 1993. Gage Marketing Corporation, Computer Operations Assistant. At Gage I was responsible for handling daily printing assignments, monitoring the UNIX systems and resolving user problems. Daily print jobs were run on a variety of printers including, laser, dot matrix, and impact. The job also required using network applications such as FTP, CA-Unicenter, and e-mail. The internship also required working with a variety of operating systems. The major systems included DOS, Windows, Windows 95, and UNIX. Employed from June 1996 through the August 1996. Tender Care Transport, Inc., Billing and Computer Specialist. At Tender Care Transport I was responsible for entering and checking all billing to the State of Wisconsin andprivate clients along with providing hardware and software support for the computer system. Employed from November 1994 through May 1996. Work related accomplishments: Installed and networked office computers spring of 1996. Installed CD-ROM drive and tape backups.
